introduction taster: An introductory class for students new to pole dance. Taster classes may be taken more than once. Shown in blue on the calendar.
(1-hour class: $20)

beginner/*pcc beginner: A thorough introduction to pole dance, for the beginner. Course covers all spins, floorwork, climbing, and dance choreography including technique/transitions, etc.
(One 2-hour class/week for 8 weeks: $280)
*Portland Community College Beginner Pole Dance Course has the same curriculum as a regular Beginner course. Visit www.PCC.edu for questions or to register.

intermediate I: Refines choreography/moves from Beginner. Increased level of difficulty with the introduction of basic inversions and aerial moves. More focus on strength and agility. Introduction to basic moves on spinning pole. Course covers moves such as Inverted V, Inverted Crucifix, Reiko and Pole Box Split, all pull-ups/releases, Outside/Inside Leg Hang, etc.
(One 2-hour class/week for 8 weeks: $280)

intermediate II:
Continues to polish previous course material. Aerial inversions/combos are introduced and fluidity between choreography and moves are stressed. Aerial Inverted V/Invert, Shoulder Mount, Superman, Half Split, and Teddy are some examples of moves covered. Handspring/Elbow Grip moves are also introduced. Students may choreograph a solo(s) and/or group routine(s) to be performed at the Intermediate II Recital, held at the end of this course.
(One 2-hour class/week for 8 weeks: $280. Recital fee: $65)

advanced I: Course covers advanced aerial moves/combos. Strength, endurance and flexibility training are stressed. Complex spinning pole transitions are introduced. Course covers advanced moves such as Aerial Shoulder Mount, Bird’s Nest, L-hang, Brass Monkey, Jade, Elbow Grip/Handspring moves, etc.
*Prerequisites: Aerial Inverted V/Aerial Invert/Shoulder Mount
(One 2-hour class/week for 8 weeks: $280)

advanced II: Extreme advanced aerial combinations/contortion moves at maximum height are taught. Advanced spinning pole combos are also covered. Elbow Grip/Handspring Mount, Knee Hold, Twisted Handspring, Flag, Allegra, and Yogini are some examples of moves covered. Students may choreograph a solo(s) and/or group routine(s) to be performed at the Advanced II Recital, held at the end of this course.
(One 2-hour class/week for 8 weeks: $280. Recital fee: $65)

advanced III: Gravity defying drops/combos/contortion poses at maximum height are taught. Acrobatic floorwork and gymnastics are also incorporated into choreography. This course covers moves such as Reverse Elbow Grip, Elbow Grip/Handspring Cartwheel, Bat Wing, Eros Flip, Fongi, Dove Drop, Rainbow Marchenko, etc. Students may choreograph a solo(s) and/or group routine(s) to be performed at the Advanced III Recital, held at the end of this course.

(One 2-hour class/week for 8 weeks: $280. Recital fee: $65)

training company: Training Company is seasonal (1 Training Company per semiannual show season). Tr. Co. will commit to a specified number of training workshops, choreography sessions, and rehearsals, and will also perform in the EPDC’s semiannual Alberta Rose Theatre show at the end of their 8-week Tr. Co. course. This course focuses on preparing members to perform professionally. Diverse disciplines of dance/movement may be taught, combined with pole, to train dancers for the semiannual show. Dancers are encouraged to “bring the inside out” into an artistic, expressive execution of performance art. Members learn to enhance their technique, craft style, and grow as a dancer, performer and an artist.

drop-in classes

Drop-in classes are highlighted in green on class calendar. No need to register or call, just drop in!

unlimited monthly drop-in package: Save money! Take as many drop-in classes (in green, on class calendar) as you want! Package expires 1 month from date of purchase.

pole dance classes: See above for class descriptions.
(One 2-hour class: $39)

pole play: A supervised, non-instructed, 1.5-hour practice session. An instructor is present to assist as necessary.
(Enrolled: $5/session. Not enrolled: $10/session)

stretch-ability: A flexibility training and conditioning class. Resistance, partner stretching and TheraBand exercises may be incorporated to safely condition and stretch the body. Reach your flexibility goals in this class!
(1-hour class: $10)

choreo & flow: A pole dance choreography class focused on dance technique and floorwork transitions. New choreography every week. Gain fluidity while dancing on the floor.
*prerequisites: completion of Beginner course, or past Beginner level
(1-hour class: $10)


private parties

Perfect for bachelorette parties, work events, birthdays or girls’ night out! Private Party reservation includes full private rental of the studio, instructed pole dance lesson, and alcohol/refreshments are allowed. Parties may be be co-ed. 16 students maximum. Call or email to reserve your private party!
(1.5 hour reservation, up to 8 students: $200. $24 per additional student.)
